HUJI Cam - A Nostalgic Camera App
Every once in a while, something comes along that catches the internet's attention and becomes a social media trend. It might be an app like Meitu that focuses on kawaii-ing your face, or even an app that can smooth out all the flaws on your photos (Facetune anyone?), but most recently it's HUJI, a smartphone camera app that allows you to take photos with a 90s disposable camera aesthetic.
HUJI Cam is the perfect app for anyone who wants to get a little nostalgic on their Android device. The app re-creates the signature viewfinder of an old-school disposable camera, and also includes a flash and lab button for when you need to snap that perfect shot.
The interface is pretty simple, as well. Just point and click, and the app will take a snapshot for you. The app also offers a time stamp feature to add a date to the corner of your photos, though you can't edit those photos after they're taken.
While the app is pretty straightforward, it's not quite as robust or as customizable as some other apps on the market. It also does not support some of the more advanced functions, such as photo editing or sharing.
If you're looking for a more robust version of HUJI, there is an alternative app called 1998 Cam that gives you the same experience as Huji but with more features. It's free to download and works on both Android and IOS.
